Sales revenue up 116% in 60 days. For one of our long-term motorcycle dealer clients, that's not a projection, it's what just happened. Over the same stretch, another client in the motorcycle & powersports space grew sales revenue 56%.

We didn't just track these numbers ourselves. Google's own Customer Solutions team called us to talk about them.

Both dealer groups sit within Australia's largest Harley-Davidson retail network — so this wasn't a small account seeing a lucky spike, it was meaningful movement at real scale.

Here's what changed on both accounts, why it worked, and what it means for any motorcycle or powersports dealer thinking about their Google Ads and Meta Ads strategy heading into the back half of 2026.

The Results

We manage paid media for several dealers in the motorcycle and powersports space, and the last two months have been the strongest stretch we've seen on two of those accounts specifically:

None of this came from simply spending more. Spend moved on both accounts, but revenue and efficiency moved faster.

Why Google Noticed

A couple of weeks ago, a Senior Growth Manager from Google's Customer Solutions team reached out directly. They'd seen the trajectory on both accounts and wanted to get on a call to talk through plans for the second half of 2026.

That's not something that happens on autopilot. It's a signal that the account structure, the tracking, and the recent performance are clean enough and strong enough to show up clearly in Google's own reporting, not just ours.

For dealers evaluating a marketing partner, that's worth paying attention to. When a platform itself is proactively getting in touch about an account's growth, it's a good sign the fundamentals are actually right, not just the surface-level metrics.

What We Actually Changed

Three things drove most of the movement:

We rebuilt the account structure around what actually sells. Instead of broad, catch-all campaigns, we restructured Google Ads around Performance Max and tightly segmented Search and Brand campaigns built off real margin and revenue data, not guesswork about which products "should" perform.

We fixed the tracking before we touched the budget. Both accounts had gaps in conversion tracking that meant real leads and sales were going unmeasured. Cleaning up Meta Pixel, conversion APIs, and Google Ads conversion actions came first, so every optimisation after that was based on what was actually happening, not partial data.

We scaled spend only after proving efficiency, not before. Budget increases followed proof that cost per conversion was trending down and return on ad spend was holding. That's the difference between spending more and growing revenue: one account scaled monthly investment by nearly 60% and still posted its best month on record.

Alongside all of that, we turned Meta into a genuine always-on channel for both accounts: always-on lead campaigns, retargeting, and catalogue-driven conversion campaigns, rather than a secondary channel running on leftover budget.

Why This Matters for Motorcycle and Powersports Dealers

This industry has its own quirks that generic ecommerce playbooks miss: seasonal demand swings, big-ticket purchase cycles, high-intent phone and in-store enquiries alongside online sales, and inventory that changes week to week. A strategy built for a typical online retailer usually leaves revenue on the table for a dealer.

The dealers who are winning right now are the ones treating tracking as the foundation, not an afterthought, and letting the data decide where budget goes next, rather than spreading spend evenly across every campaign and hoping.
